உயிர்கள் உடம்போடு கூடித் தோன்றும் முறை ஜகத்தின் உற்பத்தி இறையன்பின் வளர்ச்சி இவற்றைக் கூறி இறைவனை வணங்குவது

In this fourth part of THIRUVASAGAM the word POTRI means praising the lard is coming in many places so the title is given as potri thiruagaval

   In this first part the life (soul) goes and mingles in the body. This is the mode of creation of this universe

நான்முகன் முதலா வானவர் தொழுது எழ

1. NANMUGAN MUTHALAA VAANAVAR THOLUTHU EALA

பிரமன் முதலான தேவர்களும் வணங்கி எழும்ப

From Bhirama to Devasall are submitted before the god feet and then get back

ஈர் அடியாலேமுஉலகு அளந்து

2. EER ADI YAALA MUUYULAGU ALANTHU

திருமால் இரண்டு அடியாலே மூன்று உலகத்தை அளந்து

Thirumal with his two feet he measured there worlds

நால் திசை முனிவரும் ஐம்புலன் மலர

3. NAAL THESAI MUNIVARUM EYMPULAN MALARA

நன்கு திசைகளில் உள்ள முனிவர்களும் ஐந்து புலன்களும் களிப்பால் மலர

The saints those who are in four side of the earth and see the god with their five sense organs and their face because of seeing god get lotus flower like red in color form bloomed

போற்றி செய் கதிர் முடி திருமால் அன்று

கடவுளை வணங்கும் திருமாலின் கதிர்முடி அன்று

The thirumaal Diamond Head crown (KEREEDEM) shines and glitters who praised the lord Siva

அடி முடி அறியும் ஆதரவு அதனில்

5. ADI MUDI ARIYUM AATHARAYU ATHANIL

திருவடியின் முடிவை அறியும் ஆசையால்

To find out the end portion of his feet, so he has that desire

கடு முரண் ஏனம் ஆகிமுன் கலந்து 
6.KADUM MUREN EAANAM AAGI MUNN  KALANTHU

மிக்க வலிமை உடைய பன்றியின் உருவம் ஆகிமுற்பட்டுக்

He has taken the form of mighty pig and tried to excavate the land

7. ஏழ்தலம் உருவ இடந்து பின் எய்த்து

AALTHALAM YURUVA EDATHU PIN EAITHTHU

கீழ்ஏழு உலகங்களையும் உடு ஊருவத் தோண்டி பிறகு இளைத்தும்

He has excavated seven under world and unable to see his feet so he felt tired.

8.ஊழி முதல்வ சயசய என்று

ULI MUTHALVA SAYA SAYA YENDRU

பேரூழிக்காலத்தும் விளங்கும் முதல்வரே உமக்கு வெற்றி வெற்றி

You are the only survivor at the time of destruction of this world so I praise you by the word jaya jaya (you are the winner)

9.வழுத்தியும் காணா மலர்அடி இணைகள்

VALUTHTHIYUM KANAA MALARADI ENAIKAL

சொல்லி தோத்தரித்தும் காணமுடியாத தாமரை மலர் போன்ற திருவடிகள் இரண்டும்

By praising and mediation we can’t see your lotus feet

வழுத்துதற்கு எளிதாய் வார் கடல் உலகினில்

10. VALUTHU THARKU EALITHAAI VAAR KADAL YULAGIL

நெடிய கடல் சூழ்ந்த நில உலகின் கண்யாங்கள் வணங்குதற்கு எளிதாக வந்து என்றவாறு

But in this sea surrounded world, we are pray and praise him in a simple form he has come as guru, teacher

மனிதப் பிறவியில் தாயின் வயிற்றில்

As a human we take birth from the mother stomach

14. EENAM ILL KIRUMI SERUVINIL PILAITHUM

குன்றுதல் இல்லாத புழுக்கள் இடும் சண்டையில் தப்பியும்

There are small insects which try to destroy the new conception and from it protected

15. ORU MATHI THAANTRINIL ERUMAIL PELAITHUM

கர்ப்பத்தின் முதல் மாதத்தில் கர்ப்பபையில் சிறிதாகத் தோன்றும் குழந்தை

First month of child development in womb UTERUS the nucleus in the form of small (FOETUS)

இருமதி விளைவின் ஒருமையில் பிழைத்தும் 

16. IRUMATHI VILAIVIN ORUMAIYIL PILAITHUM

இரண்டாம் மாதம் ஆண்கரு மற்றும் பெண்கரு ஒன்றுபட்ட தன்மையால் தோன்றும்

In the second month men sperm and women ovum are in the integrated form(AMORPHOUS STATE)

முன்றாம் மாதம் தாயின் கொழுப்புநீர் கருப்பையில் சென்று நிறையும்

The third month fat water filled in the womb

ஈர் இரு திங்களில் பேர் இருள் பிழைத்தும் 

18. EER IRU THINGALIL PEER IRVIL PILAITHTHUM

நான்காம் மாதம் கொழுப்பு நீர் நிரம்பியக் கருப்பை இருண்டு கிடக்கும்

At the fourth month the womb will filled by fatty acid and kept in darkness

அஞ்சு திங்களில் முஞ்சுதல் பிழைத்தும் 
19.ANCHU THINUGALIL MUNJUTHAL PILAITHTHUM

ஐந்து மாதத்தில் மதநீர் பெருக்கும் மேலும் இருள் சூழ்ந்த தன்மை

In the fifth month the fatty acid is produced excessively and the nucleus is in the darkness (ESCAPE FROM ABARSON)

20. AARUTHINGALIL VOOR ALAR PILAITHUM

ஆறாம் மாதம் வயிறு பெருக்க அயலார் பழித்து உரைப்பர் நகைப்பர்

In the sixth Month onwards the stomach grow bigger and others talk ill about it and they laugh at scandalousitching

எழாம் மாதம் உருவம் பெற்ற கரு கீழே சரிய ஆரம்பிக்கும்

The seventh month the child fully developed all the parts and comes down in mother body and escape from pre mature birth

22. EATTU THINGALIL KATTAMUM PILAITHUM

எட்டாம் மாதம் கரு நன்கு வளர்ந்து மலக்குடலையும் கழிவாயினையும் நெருக்கும் தாய்க்கு மலம் கட்டிக் கொள்ளும்

At the eight month the nucleus form of child fully developed so it contracts the internal organs so night soil comes out with difficulty

கரு தாயின்  வயிற்றில் புரண்டு கொண்டு இருக்கும்

The child will be tossing from side to sideat the ninth month

24. THAKKA THASAMATHI THAIYODU THAANPADUM

பத்தாம் மாதம் தாயும் சேயும்படும் துன்பம் அளவு இல்லாதது

At the ten month (lunar month here twenty eight days are one month)

துக்க சாகரம் துயர் இடைப்பிழைத்தும்

THUKKA SAAGARAM THUYUR EADAI PELATITHUM

இதனை துக்க சாகரம் என்றார்

The child and mother faces innumerable sorrow and it is called asSorrow Sea

25. ANDUGAL THORUM ADAIYTHA AKKAALAI

ஆண்டுகள் தோறும் பருவ வளர்ச்சி அடைந்த பொழுது

காலை மலத்தாலும் பகலில் பசியாலும் இரவில் தூக்கத்தாலும்

இவை ஒழிந்த காலங்களில் பயணங்கள் போவதும் நேருகின்ற துன்பங்களுக்குத் தப்பியும் என்றவாறு

முன் ஒரு காலத்தில் வருணன் ஆலவாய்ச் சொக்கனின் ஆற்றல் அறியாதவனாகி மதுரையை அழிக்கக் கடலை ஏவினான். கடல் நாற்புரமும் கரைபுரண்டு அலைகள் மலைபோல் எழும்ப மதுரையை விழுங்க வந்தது. (சுனாமி உருவம் கொண்டு, அது கண்டு மன்னனும் மக்களும் சொக்கலிங்கப் பெருமானிடம் முறையிட்டனர்.

இறைவன் பொன்னும் மணியும் சொறியும் நான்கு மேகங்களை ஏவிக் கடல்நீரை வற்றச் செய்தான். அவமானம் பொறுக்க முடியாத வருணன் செருக்கு காரணமாக மழை அனைத்தையும் ஒருங்கழைத்து மதுரை மேல் பெய்க என்றான்.

மீண்டும் இறைவன் புயல்கள் நான்கினையும் அழைத்து நீங்கள் மாடங்கள் ஆகி மதுரையைக் காப்பாற்றுங்கள் என ஆணையிட்டான். புயல்கள் மாடங்கள் ஆகி மதுரையை மூடிக் கவிந்து நின்றன. ஒரு துளிகளும் உள்ளே விழாத வண்ணம் காத்தன.

வருணன் வெட்கித் தோற்று இறைவனை வழிபட்டு உய்ந்தான். நான்கு மேகங்களும் கூடிக் காத்தமையால் இத்தலம் நான்மாடக் கூடல் என வழங்கப் பெறுவது ஆயிற்று.

     Once up on a time the rain god name varunan unable to know the power of chokka linga peruman (LORD SIVA) of Madurai he ordered the sea to rise in tsunamiform and then ordered to destroy the Madurai city. The sea of four sides come as mountain and tried to swallow the Madurai.

  On hearing this prayer god ordered the four clouds to download gold and diamond so that the sea water dried.

   On seeing this varuna unable to tolerate this defeat he ordered the rain water to pour in to MADURAI again god ordered fourtornado to convert it selves into four castle and covered the Madurai so even a single drop of water get down in Madurai.

    The rain god varuna cut a sorry figure and knelt before the Lord Siva and prayed that I have inadvertently do it please pardon me and get pardon from god.

      So the four castles saved the Madurai so the other name of Madurai is naan mada kudal

154.சிராப்பள்ளிமேவியசிவனேபோற்றி

SIRAPPALLI MEVIYA SIVANEA POTRI

திருச்சிராப்பள்ளியில் எழுந்தருளி உள்ள சிவனே போற்றி

திருச்சிராப்பள்ளியில் செட்டிப்பெண் ஒருத்தி நெசவுத் தொழில் செய்யும் குடும்பத்தில் பிறந்து வாழ்ந்து வந்தாள். அவளுக்குச் சிவபக்தி அதிகம். தினமும் சிவபெருமானைத் தொழாமல் உணவு அருந்துவது இல்லை. அவளுக்குத் திருமணம் ஆகி அருகில் இருந்த ஸ்ரீரங்கத்திற்குக் கணவன் வீட்டிற்குச் சென்றாள். தான் சிவபெருமானை விட்டுப் பிரிவதை எண்ணி ஏங்கினாள். சிவன் கனவில் தோன்றி நீ வீட்டில் இருந்து பார்த்தால் நான தெரிவேன், எனவே பயப்படாமல் புகுந்தவீடு செல் என்று கனவில் காட்சி கொடுத்து அருளினார்.

    அவ்வாறே புகுந்த வீட்டிற்குச் சென்றாள். அவள் வீட்டு மாடியில் இருந்து பார்த்த பொழுது மலைக்கோட்டையின் முழு அழகும் அவள் பார்வையைக் கவர்ந்தது.  தினமும் சிவனைப் பார்த்துத் தரிசித்துவிட்டு உணவு அருந்தி வந்தாள்.

   சில நாட்களில் அவள் கர்ப்பவதி ஆனாள். மாதங்கள் கடந்தன. பிரசவநாள் நெருங்கியது.

   அவள் தாய் திருச்சியில் இருந்து புறப்பட்டு மகள் வீடு செல்;ல ஆற்றங்கரையை அடைந்தாள். அப்பொழுது ஆற்றில் வெள்ளம் பெருக்கெடுத்து ஓடியது.  எனவே பரிசலில் பயணிப்பது தடைபட்டது. அவள் இறைவனை வேண்டினாள்.

    மகளும் பிரசவ வேதனையால் வருந்தி, சிவபெருமானை அழைத்து விண்ணப்பித்தாள். சிவபெருமான் அவள் நிலை கண்டு வருந்தி, அவள் தாய் வேடத்தில் சென்று பிரசவிக்க உதவினார்.  சில நாட்கள் ஆனது. ஆற்றில் நீர் குறைந்து பரிசல் பயணம் தொடங்கப் பட்டது.  தாய் மகள் வீட்டிற்கு வந்து சேர்ந்தாள். அவள் மகளிடம் ஆற்றுப் பெருக்கால் வரமுடியவில்லை, யார் பிரசவம் பார்த்தது என்று கேட்டாள். அதற்கு மகள் நீங்கள்தானே எனக்குப் பிரசவம் பார்த்தீர்கள் என்று கூற, அதற்கு நான் இப்போழுது தானே வருகின்றேன் என்று தாய் கூறினாள்.

    அதுவரை அங்கு இருந்து உதவிய சிவபெருமான் அந்த இடத்தை விட்டு மறைந்தார். அவர்கள் இருவரும் இறைவன் கருணையை வியந்து சிவபெருமானை வழிபட்டனர். எனவே சிவபெருமானுக்கு இத்தலத்தில் தாயுமானவர் என்று பெயர்.

 In majority of people see the lord Siva and Ganapathy daily form from their homes because it is in the top of a hillock.

Long ago one chetti women (a caste) daily prayed lord Siva. She got conceived before delivery the river Cauvery flooded. She got labor pain and prayed god to help her.

 Her mother in the other side of the river bank because of flood in somany days she is unable to cross the river by parisal(a kind of vehicle float in water) the chetty woman praised god. God turned to her request and got the form of her mother and help her to deliver a body and god served her day to day basis

 After sometimes the river reduce, the original mother arrived and how she got child birth daughter says you have helped me. But the mother says now only I am arriving howI could have helped you after wards they realized that god alone came in the form of mother and they prayed for his service to humanity in whatever form we require.

So god’s name in this abode is THAAYUMAANAVER (turned as a mother)

163.அத்திக்குஅருளியஅரசேபோற்றி

ATHTHIKKU ARULIYA ARASE POTRI

யானைக்கும் அருள் வழங்கிய அரசனே போற்றி

முன்னொரு காலத்தில் தேவேந்திரன் ஐராவதத்தின் மீது (வெள்ளையானை) ஊர்ந்து வந்தான். அப்பொழுது அவனைக் காண வந்த துர்வாச முனிவர் ஒரு வெள்ளைத் தாமரையையும் துளவந்தாமரையையும் ஆசி கூறிக் கையுறையாகக் கொடுத்தார். இந்திரன் செல்வக் களிப்பால் மதி மயங்கி, அவற்றை வாங்கி வெள்ளை யானையின் தலை மீது வைத்து விட்டான். அந்த யானை அதை எடுத்துக் காலின் கீழ் இட்டு மிதித்தது.  அதனைக் கண்ட துர்வாச முனிவர் சினந்து வெள்ளை யானையை நீ காட்டு யானை ஆகுக எனச் சபித்தார்.

    இந்திரனை நோக்கி – நின்தலை பாண்டியன் ஒருவனால் பிளக்கப் படுவதாக எனவும் சபித்தார். இருவரும் முனிவரிடம் மன்றாடினர். முனிவர் சினம் தணிந்து இந்திரனே உன் தலை பிளவு படினும் மீண்டும் நீ இந்திர பதவியில் இருந்து அரசு ஆள்வாய் என்றும்,

    வேழமே, நீ கடம்ப வனமான மதுரையில் பிறந்து சொக்கலிங்கப் பெருமானை வழிபட்டு இன்று போல் வெள்ளை யானை ஆகுக என்று சாபவிடை அளித்தார்.

    அவ்வாறே யானை காட்டில் பிறந்து சொக்கலிங்கப் பெருமானைப் பூசித்து அருள் பெற்றது. இது வெள்ளை யானைக்குச் சாபம்  தீர்த்த திருவிளையாடல் புராணம் ஆகும்.

Once upon a time DEVENDRA the head of DEVERS came in procession on white elephant named IRAVATHAM and a saint named THURVASAMUNIVER  came there and gave Devendran a white lotus and THULUVANTHALAI with blessings.

INDIRAN with his power and position he got it and placed it on the head of the elephant called (MATHAM) after sometime the elephant caught hold of the two offerings with its long hand and place before it and stamped with it feet. On seeing this Thurvasa saint got angry and cursed the elephant to go as a dark elephant and made to go to forest.

He cursed the Indira that his head will be cut by a Pandya king and two are prayed for his clemency after Thurvasa came to calm mood he gave solution that the elephant will get birth at KADAMBA VANAM near muthurai and daily pray chokkalinga peruman at Madurai after so many years god appeared before it and gave sinalleviation and got back its original white color and iravatham position.

Indiran also after somany years of penance he got back his indira position and get back kingdomof devas.

164.தென்னாடுடையசிவனேபோற்றி

THENNAADU YUDAIYA SIVANEA POTRI

தென் தமிழ்நாட்டை உடைமையாக உடைய சிவபெருமானே

He has taken southern Tamilnadu as his position to live here.

165.என்நாட்டவர்க்கும்இறைவாபோற்றி

166.ஏனக்குருளைக்குஅருளினைபோற்றி

பன்றிக் குட்டிக்குப் பால் ஊட்டியவனே வணக்கம்

ஒரு காட்டில் முனிவன் ஒருவம் தவம் செய்து கொண்டு இருந்தார். பன்னிரண்டு பேர் இளம் காளைகள் அவர் பெருமையை உணராது சினமூட்டினர். அவர் அச்சிறுவர்களைப் பார்த்து நீங்கள் பன்றி வயிற்றில் பிறந்து வருந்துக எனச் சாபம் இட்டார்.  சிறுவர்கள் பயந்து தம் பிழையை உணர்ந்து அருளுமாறு வேண்டினர்.

    முனிவர் இறைவன் அருளால் சாபம் தீரம் என மொழிந்தார். சிறுவர்கள் அவ்வண்ணமே காட்டுப் பன்றி ஒன்றின் வயிற்றில் பிறந்தனர்.  பிறந்த உடனே வேட்டைக்கு வந்த பாண்டியன் காட்டுப் பன்றியைக் கொன்று விட்டான். பன்றிக் குட்டிகள் தாய் வராமையால் பசியால் தவித்தன.  சிவன் தாய்ப் பன்றி வடிவில் சென்று பாலூட்டி அருள் புரிந்தார். இது பன்றிக்குட்டிக்கு        முலையூட்டிய திருவிளையாடல்.

 He fed milk by taking the form of mother pig and gave milk to new born ones

Once upon a time a saint sat in penance in the forest. Two persons they are king sons go to forest on seeing the saint they unable to comprehend his power. They teased him. After sometime he got angry and cursed them to go and take birth at pig womb. Those young lads got frightened and try to get pardon from him

After cool down the saint said with the help of lord Siva you will get salvation from the sin

After their demise in the next birth they take birth in forest pig stomach. The Pandya king at that time came there and killed the mother pig the young pigs wait to return its mother. It is not happened. They got hungry and cried for milk.

 God has descended are taken the form of mother pig and allowed to drink milk from it breast in this way god saved the young pigs

முன்னொரு காலத்தில் மதுரையைச் சுற்றிக் கடம்பங்காடு அடர்ந்து இருந்தது.  புலிகள் அங்கு மிகுதியாக வாழ்ந்து வந்தன. இதனால் மான்கூட்டம் சிறுத்தது. அந்த நிலையில் மான் ஒன்று கன்றை ஈந்தது. அதனைத் தூறில் மறைத்து வைத்துவிட்டுக் குளக்கரைக்குச் சென்றபோது வேடன் ஒருவன் அந்தத் தாய் மானைக் கொன்று விட்டான். அதனால் அந்தமான் மிகவும் நொந்து செத்தது.  இதனைத் திருஉள்ளம் பற்றிய இறைவன் அந்தக் காட்டில் வேறு பெண்மான் ஒன்றும் இல்லாததால் அருகில் உலாவிய ஒரு பெண் புலியைப் பார்ததுச் சிவபெருமான் இதற்குப் பால் ஊட்டுவாயாக என ஆணை இட்டார்.  புலிப்பாலைக் குடித்து மான் குட்டியும் வளர்ந்தது.  இதுவே புலிமுலை புல்வாய்க்கு அருளினை போற்றி என்ற திருவிளையாடல்.

Once upon a time in Mathurai and around it there is thick (kadamba vanam) forest, there somany tigers were living so deer population had gone thinner and thinner and left out one only. That deer is a pregnant and gave birth a calf. It placed it in secluded place and went for water to drink. On seeing it a hunter killed it so on dying it thought of its young calf.

On seeing this seen god searched is there any other deer lift over. There is no deer there is only one female tiger. Lard Siva ordered that tiger to give milk to the calf and it obeyed. So it reared the deer calf. This is gods THIRU VILAI AADAL.

கருங்குருவிக்கு அன்று அருளினை போற்றி

காக்கைகளால் துன்புறுத்தப் பட்ட கரிக்குருவிகளில் ஒன்று பண்டைக் காலத்து நல்ல தவத்தால் பரமனைப் போற்றிப் பக்தி செய்து வந்தது. இறைவன் இரங்கிப் பகைவரை வெல்லும் மூன்று எழுத்து மந்திரத்தைச் சொல்ல அதற்கு உபதேசித்தார்.  மந்திரம் நசிய (நமச்சிவாய என்பதன் சுருக்கம்) அதனை ஓதி அப்பறவை பகை வெல்லும் ஆற்றலைப் பெற்றது. (தன் முட்டைகளைக்) காக்கைகள் தின்றமையால், இனம் அழிந்து கொண்டிருந்தது. எனவே தன்னுடைய முட்டைகளைக் காக்கைக் கூட்டிலேயே இட்டுத் தன் இனத்தைப் பெருக்கிக் கொண்டது.

    நசிய – நசியாது இருக்க. அதனால் அது வலியான் எனவும் வழங்கப் பட்டது.  காக்கைகளால் தன் முட்டைக்கும் கருங்குருவி முட்டைக்கும் பேதம் காண முடியாமல் இரண்டையும் அடைகாத்து உயிர் பெறச் செய்தது.

By repeatedly saying it, it will win over the opponent the eggs of co-co bird are eaten away by crows. So it laid eggs in the crow nest so it is unable to distinguish the eggs and hatched the co-co eggs also after the bird comes out from the eggs the co-co birds fly over thus its generation is saved.
